My designs are inspired by the joy I find when I‘m in Nature~
I found my love for creating jewelry while living in New Zealand, inspired by the flora, fauna and rugged west coast beaches.
Currently living in Minneapolis, I find my inspiration beach combing on the north shore and walking amongst the urban neighborhood gardens in the Twin Cities.
Each piece of my jewelry is unique and hand forged from precious metals, semi-precious gemstones and found objects, using traditional metal smith techniques. In many instances, I like my designs to look organic and well worn~ often using fine jeweler's sandpaper and various patinas to create a charcoal effect on the metal.
I believe in responsible and mindful fabrication by incorporating eco-conscious practices in the process of metalsmithing. Whenever possible I replace commonly used chemicals with natural products. I also use recycled/reclaimed precious metals in all of my designs. These metals share the same exquisite beauty of mined precious metals but are recycled and eco-friendly.
